Divorce and Family Support

You don't have to carry this alone

Whether you're a mum or a dad, separation and divorce can be one of the hardest things you ever go through. The uncertainty, the conflict, the worry about your children, and the sheer exhaustion of it all can leave you feeling like you're barely holding on. If that's where you are right now, I want you to know two things: this will not feel like this forever, and you don't have to get through it on your own.

A safe pair of ears, when you need it most

Counselling during separation gives you somewhere steady to think, to feel, and to work out what matters most to you and your children, without judgement and without added pressure. I won't take sides or tell you what to do. My role is simply to listen, and to help you find clarity when everything else feels uncertain. Sometimes just having one hour a week where you can say exactly how you feel, without managing anyone else's reaction, makes the rest of the week that bit more manageable.

"You don't know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have."

From When Divorce Gets Messy

The practical side, without losing sight of your children

Separation rarely stays only emotional. It brings decisions about children, routines, and communication with an ex-partner, and all of that can feel just as overwhelming. I bring the same person-centred approach to this side of things as I do to everything else. Rather than telling you what to do, I give you the space to think it through, work out how you feel about it, and find your own way to what feels right for you and your children.

I've also completed additional training in divorce coaching and mediation, which shapes how well I understand what families go through during separation. Our sessions together stay rooted in person-centred counselling: a space to think and feel, not a programme of advice.

Written from experience: When Divorce Gets Messy

I've also written a book on this subject, When Divorce Gets Messy, a practical guide for parents navigating custody, conflict, and protecting their children. It's available on Amazon, and many clients find it a useful companion alongside our sessions.
